Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

A while ago I started a thread looking for a source for just the driver's side floor mat for my 2004 C4S (
https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...floor-mat.html
).
A prescient user suggested:
I took a risk and bought 2 new porsche branded front mats from Suncoast. The new ones are black when viewed on their own but are decidedly BLUE when compared at side-by-side. See attached shots of the passenger side mat (the good one).
I followed up with Suncoast and they confirmed "The item 00004480053A10 is a genuine Porsche part and according to my catalog is color "black" (= A10) and the only black tone available for your model."
Has anyone else noticed this?
Wishful thinking: Do the Lloyd mats, or any other source, have a better match to the black carpet from 2004?
In the car, the mats are terrible but if you squint it does make you go hmm...
As with most fabric finishes, dye lots vary, etc. Common. Just as leather and vinyl sections in a Porsche interior fade and age at different rates. It's a characteristic of the car.
The rubber all season 996 mats are great and black.
Lloyd mats are higher quality than Porsche mats. Lloyd was the OEM supplier decades ago.
It looks like the binding (thread) is black, but the carpet pile is dark blue- no question! Maybe try to return to Suncoast and request swatches from Lloyd Mats before reordering if you want a black logo mat. Coco Mats have many beautiful colors and materials including some in Charcoal Black, but Porsche logos are not available. /X3
