Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Holy **** Batman! Why did I do that? I had no idea it would add up to that much and the leather parts I bought from Germany have been lost in the DHL mail or something.....hopefully they will make it to me, but it's been over 30 days! Will have one heck of an install in the spring. First rule of Porsche ownership: Never make a list!

POST 3Original post

Wow, quite the list. Many good options there. What is a "Keys Keys in the post"? Which short shifter?

POST 4Original post

First rule of classic car ownership: Keep all your receipts. Second rule: Never add them all up!

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Keys in the post is a place in the UK where you can get a key cut by emailing them a picture of it. Got two for $80 shipped (just the blade) and they work. Bought the fob off ebay and will have it programmed to the car when I do the trip computer mod. https://keysinthepost.com/ The short shifter was procured from Diablo, the thing is beautiful! More here: https://rennlist.com/forums/for-sale...t-linkage.html Here's a better picture of my mod list without pricing!!!

Well it's a real bummer, it appears DHL has lost the package with this: Plus the overhead light and left and right mirror triangles and little bat wing, all in leather. The good news is that the seller has spoken to DHL and said I will get my money back if they don't find the package. Bummer.

POST 7Original post

Two rules. Never add it up and never show your wife. Hide it like you hide your ****

POST 8Original post

And I thought I was the only one that would keep a spreadsheet of all of the work I've done to my car. Nice!

POST 9Original post

I have all expenses for my car recorded on my computer and then I have the receipts and service history in a big binder. I've done the math, it isn't pretty but it is still cheaper than me going out and buying a new 991.

POST 10Original post

Paul, how bad was the hit on the keys? Mine came with both, but a 3rd is always welcome

See post #5. He states $80

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The blades were $40 each, they will open the door, but will not operate the ignition (ignition will turn, but won't start the car), you need the FOB for that which was $170 off ebay, then I'll need somebody to code it with the PCM2 or whatever it is. I have a shop local that can do that when they "turn on" the trip computer after I do that mod. Waiting for everything to come in so I can pull the steering wheel off once and do the other interior upgrades such as the horizontal trim on the dash at the same time. Figure it will just be easier with the steering wheel removed.

maybe it's Safari, but I'm not seeing $$$ on the spreadsheet at least his stuff is actually getting installed, I have springs / struts, a set of wheels , small boxes of upgrades stacked in the hall of my home mixed emotions on doing a spreadsheet, but I do have a paper file gotta love owning a 911

It might be because there is no pricing on the spreadsheet (read the post)

None of this happened without pics. Please share.

YEA! My parts from Germany just arrived!! The center console is going to be a very nice upgrade from the plastic one. The only parts I am missing are the three horizontal dash pieces that I bought from a place in Germany in carbon fiber, they are scheduled to ship by Monday, and are shipping via DHL express, not the Germany post office, DHL.de. And it's going to be warmer in Chicago this weekend, might have to start installing the parts. But really want to wait until I have everything....but doubt I will be doing that.....
