Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Can anyone give me a clue as to what the part number is to this piece? Mine was painted and has begun working intermitently. (Not a pic of my car)

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Man I've been googling for two straight days! Thanks for the link.

POST 4Original post

My search was "996 front bumper temperature sensor". Popped right up. Glad to help.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That was my problem. Kept searching for "outside air temperature sensor." Doh.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

By the way, how does the sensor detach? I know how to unhook the wire but I fiddled with the sensor and couldn't see how it comes out of the fascia.

POST 7Original post

It unplugs......it either twists , pulls or unclips. The sensor is the female and the wired plug is the male. You may have to fiddle with it a little. Here is a pic. http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarti...mall/pic01.jpg
