Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey I have looked around and havnt found any info on this topic I have a 2004 911 40th AE, i was wondering the function of the bottom light on the switch. Whats the orange light for.

POST 2Original post

I think its in the manual. European Parking lights I think?

POST 3Original post

Yup, euro parking light, some people call it a rear fog light.

POST 4Original post

That's the rear (single) fog light on the driver's side. To me, "European Parking Lights" are the side lights that are activated with the turn signal, when parked, not the rear fog.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you very much is that something that came standard on the US models or strictly on the 911 40th AE?

You can get more info too if you'll look in your owner's manual in the index under "Light Switch" - I think it refers you to page 100 where there's a good picture and a description.

POST 9Original post

I'm trying to find a good chart that shows the lights that are operated for each headlamp switch / ignition switch position combination. I've tried studying the manual, but I guess I don't think like a German engineer. Anybody seen such a chart? Did I just miss it here somewhere?
