Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

They can actually get a window sticker based on my vin number? I tried Suncoast and they sent me an incomplete window sticker.

POST 5Original post

You would have to talk to Chris. He is able to research and come up with a lot of the information. If you have the hood sticker, he might be able to create the whole thing. In my case, I have the original window sticker but it is in bad shape. I contacted him about making a copy and then we had some flooding and I put the purchase on hold. One of these days I'll get one that is laminated to display...or I'll have it framed.

POST 6Original post

Chris did a great job on mine, Highly recommended. Other than the little inscription you can barley read , it's prefect. Do a search on my name and Window sticker, should have pic still posted. I'm going to have him do one for my Turbo as soon as state sends title. Mike

If you want a low-budget option, I did one myself a few years back. Check post number 6 in this old thread for links to the files. https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...ml#post9440679

Thanks, that is very helpful Just one question. How did you get to the prices of each option? Thanks again

POST 9Original post

My sources are listed in the thread I linked to. (autoatlanta VIN decoder, Kelly Blue Book, Autos.aol.com, and a couple of old Rennlist threads.). Check post #6 in the linked thread above. Everything was an estimate, but fun to consider.

It looks like most of your option prices match the ones on my real sticker. Mileage numbers are a little different though.

Yes, Stuttgart Studios is who you should contact. Friend had an E39 M5 window sticker made from Chris and was very happy with the quality. I'm planning to get one for my GT3 at some point.

Do you happen to know a "ballpark" price for one of these recreations? Thanks

POST 13Original post

I had one done for my 996 by Stuttgart Studios. I opted for the digital file, as well as a printout. It looked very realistic. I don't remember what I paid for it, unfortunately.

starts at $130. id personally go for the laminated and framed option. Framed for office. Laminated for keeping with records for the car. Once the actual window sticker is created, the additional copies are less expensive, I think. http://www.stuttgartstudios.com/pricing/

Thanks for sharing. The basis for my recreation was a 2002 996 window sticker, so your numbers are more accurate for my '99.
