Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Paints fried on the side view mirrors so I thought perhaps this is a, let's say "valid" alternative to having the mirror covers painted. The only covers I can find appear to be somewhat cheesy carbon fiber stickers, for over $100. Does anybody have any experience with this product? They're all over Ebay. Are they just stickers? Are they worth the money? Do they hold up for more than 5 minutes in Florida sunshine? I have questions!

POST 2Original post

I have the CF covers on my '99. They were on the car when I purchased it, so I don't have any history about them, but I like the looks and the quality seems to be fine. Mine are covers that slip over the mirror casing, not stickers.

POST 3Original post

Don't rule out the CF vinyl wrap either. It is super easy to apply and would cost only about $20 for two mirrors.

POST 4Original post

My buddie has them on his '06 cab, and they look very nice. They go well with some other CF items on his car
