Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all. My litronic headlights are suffering from the insulation becoming brittle and flaking off. I'm trying to splice new wires in and maybe repinning some connectors. Does anyone know if the main wiring connector on the headlight can be removed and how? (much easier to repin or splice a new wire when i can see the connector). This is the main connector. POST 2Original post

Just pull down the yellow clip and the plug will release. Pull the wheel liner and u can get to the side marker and the fan plug. Then the harness can be pulled through into the frunk. If u have an mk2 litronic car. I have 1 good plug i can cut of an old harness.

Thanks for the reply. Maybe I should have been clearer. I mean the connector on the headlight module on the car itself. Photo from interweb
