Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

injects oxygen into the exhaust upstream of the cats in order to heat them up more quickly. Its an emissions thing.
Actually it is a purpose-made CEL error generator. Thanks Obama!
On the 928, it's purpose is to get in the way when you are trying to figure out why the freaking engine keeps overheating.

How did you link emisions regs designed in the 90's to Obama?

Six degrees of separation is what I am thinking. EPA, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, Obama.
Your 928 actually runs? Mine never did.

He didn't actually say that...which is a good thing, since that dog don't currently hunt.
There is also a diverter valve just downstream of the SAI that I think modifies valve timing above 4200 RPMs. That's another great set of CEL codes if hoses leak on the way there of past the diverter valve.
This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
