Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

towards repairs and free parts? Can you upload an image of it? After 20 years? Holy cow.

POST 3Original post

Sounds like some new scam to me. Did you finance (I hope not) your car from a Porsche dealership?

POST 4Original post

I received a flyer from the local dealer offering $50 off labor on any service. Given that their labor rate is not $249 plus shop charges, environmental charges etc.that works out to be about 12 minutes of free labor, Oh Boy!

POST 5Original post

Sadly, Porsche offering financial assistance for free parts sounds 100% legit.

^^ Same here... The only thing I bring my car to the dealership for is inspection ($37.50 in NY) and occasional inexpensive parts/fluids... The one time I tried otherwise, they wound up breaking something else (this actually happened once when I brought it in for inspection as well...wound up costing me $1100 for a rebuilt/sealed steering rack).

POST 7Original post

The Porsche Westmont dealer near Chicago tells me that my car is a classic and subject to the $150/hr instead of the $210/hr door rate.

Wow, that sounds a good deal. I dont know what the dealers charge around here. But I know its a bunch. I do my own work...its cheaper.

Agree, sounds good. But every time I ask for an estimate, they give me a price thats still ridiculously high. I guess parts are still 2-3X Pelican and others.

POST 10Original post

Motor Werks in Barrington does that classic car discount too.

I got one. Looks legit. I'll be calling them soon for my free parts...
