Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

im getting my ims and rms upgraded, i just want the peace of mind of not having my engine explode on me lol. its getting done in about a week. im gonna do the LN bearing.

POST 2Original post

Congrats, I think the piece of mind is worth the price.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

yes! im having a certified pcar tech do it, final price for both is $1300. not bad!

POST 4Original post

I've thought about doing this too the next time my clutch needs to be replaced. My question is: do we know that the LN bearing is really better? It seems to be based on the design, but do we have any high mileage cars with the LN bearing? Just curious...

POST 7Original post

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

POST 14Original post

POST 15Original post

at 9x,000 miles, my original bearing looked brand new FWIW. Car has lot of track miles on it too. If it happens, it's all dumb luck. My valve seats went so since the engine was out already, i had it done (LN)
