Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

After a 15 year hiatus from owning a Porsche and recently having the opportunity to drive a GT3 decided it was time to jump back in. This time I was looking for something I could use as a rolling project/possible track car so I ended up with a 1999 996 Carrera 4 with 97k on the clock for 14k. Its not a GT3 but it puts a smile on my face when I drive it. I was specifically looking for a C4 because I live down a gravel road (FYI, the road in better condition then most CA highways) with a few big hills on it and it gets slippery in the rainy season. Its a decent 10 foot car (looks good from 10 feet away) has a few blemishes here and there but nothing serious at all. My plan is to just drive it for a while until I figure out what I want to do with it exactly. Anyhow, I'm glad to be back in the Porsche community.

Whatever you do, don't put a sticker on the side that says, "Apollo 911" and you'll be just fine.
