Here's one more wheel spacer thread. Several threads in here about this already, but most posters don't include their wheel width or offset, nor do most differentiate between 996.1 (non-rolled fenders) and 996.2 (factory rolled fenders) so finding direct comparisons is difficult. I have a 996.1 (1999) C2 with hollow turbo twist wheels: Front 7.5 ET 50 and Rear 10 ET 65. Based on my reading here, it seems 15mm spacers front and back would be safe with these wheels, stock size 225F/265R tires and mild (street) camber. And with the 7.5" fronts, I believe I can go with larger spacers in the front than the rear. But it looks like some have gone as far as the equivalent of 23mm front and 20mm rear (when translated to my hollow twist wheel specs). I like more aggressive offsets, but would rather not roll my fenders and would like to have the option of upsizing to a 285 rear tire in the future. I'll be lowering it on Ohlin R&Ts but not aggressively low. Who can share their experience with more aggressive offsets on an EARLY non-fender-rolled car? Ideally experience with spacers on a 996.1 with hollow twists of this spec. If you specify spacer widths that have worked for you please include your wheel width and offset...and tire size if different than stock. Muchas gracias.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
