I bought mine for about 8 grand a 1999 C4, from a guy who was leaving the country. and making it my project. I set everything up with IMS, suspension upgrades, and plasti-dip, new bumper and spoiler, and now I'm stuck on the wheels. I just sold my 19s that didn't fit the narrow body, and don't want to go through the headache again. Looking for recommendations on what fits. I'm a BMW guy that transitioned to Porsche, and still learning. Thanks for your inputs. If you're selling, I'm down to buy.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

If you can find stock 17" rims go with those. Will make the car more agile on normal streets, less likely to b damaged by potholes and road irregularities, and easier to fit Porsche chains on if caught in severe winter weather. And tires can be slightly cheaper. This is mine with original factory 17s.
I believe the Marine has got 17" Boxster wheels. Personally I would go with 18" turbo twists. They are inexpensive. Btw....USMC....thanks for your service!
Personally i think 17" is too small and 20"s are getto or not practical on these cars. I would just do original 18" to stay on the cheap side or nice aftermarkets in 19"
OEM or aftermarket? for fitment, try this http://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/inf..._chart/porsche a quality side pic of the car will help use the wheel configurator (for appearance) at vivid racing, lots of choices http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/1...&c8=38&c9=7005 did you have the entire car plastic-dipped ?, has a very satin look
I'm a fan of 18" on a 996.
I would keep the rare OE C4 exclusive wheels on the car.
Some new rotors - or a wire brush and some gunmetal or black high-temp paint - will go a long way toward making it look better as-is. My car came equipped with 19's as shown in my sigpic - deep dish polished metal, not chrome - and while it makes for a bumpy ride, I do like the look...
Nice find!!
