Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It occurred to me today there is no headlamp on, door open with key in, or seat belt warning noise in my car. Is this a fault, or do these cars not have them?

POST 2Original post

If you leave your lights on and remove key and open door you should get a audible warning. If you open door with key in but engine off you should also get a warning, but i think its just a visual dashboard alert.

POST 3Original post

My 99 C2 bings whenever one of those events occur. Not a buzz, but a bing. I don't know where the "binger" is....under the dash somewhere.

POST 4Original post

My 02 has a constant tone if I leave the headlights on and open the door after shutting off the engine. If I open the door with the key in the ignition (and headlights off) it will ding and display the key in the computer. My daily driver is a TSX with automatic headlights. When I first bought the car I thought who is lazy enough to not turn on headlights? A few months into ownership and I was lazy enough! I am so used to automatic headlights that I always forget to turn the lights off in the 996 after shutting it off.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Interesting. I get the message in the dash but no noise in my 02.
