In my 2003 C4S I have a square section of no carpet or padding under the passenger seat approximately 12" square in size. It appears to be by design but I wonder is there supposed to be anything filling that? And is there an appreciable amount of noise to be reduced if I fill it? If so what would you recommend? By design, and I doubt the difference would be perceptible by the human ear.
I've found the same on my 996 and Cayman, so must be by design. I cant believe Porsche would leave these areas uncovered if they were much of a noise issue, so my guess would be little discernible difference as well.
Nice place for remote electronics or gun holster attachment
I covered mine with dynomat and put my 3 way crossovers there.
