Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just confirming what you guys think. Picked up a used engine for the project car. It's a 2000 model which could have either a single or dual row, but pics look like a dual row row to me. Thoughts? Thanks!

POST 2Original post

3.4 or 3.6? I'm not sure which model year is the official change. A few 98 3.4s...maybe a few late year 3.6s in 2000? On the other hand why not just change or not change the IMS no matter what?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am going to change it, have to order the correct one, and its a 2000, which is a 3.4. 2000s could have had either one. The difference is in the flange but its hard to tell when you dont have both to compare it to.

POST 4Original post

I have a DUAL ROW in my hand right now, the one which came out of my car. I went and got it so that I could compare it for you out of my box of parts that have been replaced. It looks EXACTLY like the one you show. My car is also a 2000 and there were both single and dual in that year. They only made 3.4 engines in 2000. I believe the 3.6 engines came out in 2002.
