Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, With my slave cylinder disconnected I accidentally pressed the clutch pedal all the way down, it goes much much deeper with the slave cylinder disconnected. And the rod extends way further. I noticed some drips from the rod coming out of the slave cylinder, did I blow the internal seals? Or is this somehow expected? Did it leak because the pin went to far out or did something break? thanks

POST 2Original post

You've blown the seals of the slave cylinder. Once the rod is blown out, it will not go back together correctly. Time for a replacement.

Ok thanks

POST 4Original post

Its been superseded by Porsche a few times already so you probably did yourself a favor unless you already had the latest.

+1 Happened to me too recently.

POST 6Original post

Me too. Sucks when it happens, but at least the slave cylinder doesnt cost a fortune. I learned a good lesson. As someone said recently, I didnt waste money (buying the part) I paid for training (lesson learned).
