Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Section of old serpentine built turned into a strap wrench.
If this is for the alternator pulley then try looking at the ones the VW/Audi guys use. There is a good chance they are the same.
All of the underdrive pulleys I've seen for the 996 are crank pulleys.
Bought a strap wrench and worked like a charm thx

For anyone that is churning through archives, all you need is a section of old serpentine belt, not a new tool. Turn it into a strap wrench with an old strap wrench handle or a pair of channel locks, and bobs your uncle.
