Not an S, not a GT3, not a Turbo or Turbo S but the Texas license plate FAST911 is on a plain jane 996 convertible. Somehow just doesn't seem right.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Fast is a relative term.
Maybe his other car is a Prius. Then his 911 would be fast in comparison. And i think my 04 C4S Cab is fast.......you trying to say my cars slow?
I have a 99 C2 thats half fast.
I say good for him! Maybe it's the fastest car he's ever had. Maybe he had a quicker one that got wrecked and he kept the plate. Maybe it's an LS-swapped sleeper. Who knows, but it's a cool plate and there's no need for snobbery: it may not be the "fastest" but these cars are a whole lot quicker than most and drive so well they feel faster than they are!
Cruising in 3rd gear at 3k RPMs then mashing the throttle feels fast to me in my C2
Having demonstrated on several occasions these car's abilities to turn and burn to various objectively "fast" cars that grew increasingly small in the rear view mirror, I am OK with it.
Is this just a case of a 997TT owner hopping into the 996 forum to dump on naturally aspirated cars?

Who cares?
He doesn't eat for long periods of time then passes out and needs someone to call 911 for emergency medical aid.

HAHA I'm not sure what is more amusing, your weak attempt at trolling or your ironic choice of avatar in light of your above post.
Draft a certified letter to the TX DMV, post haste. This outrage cannot be allowed to continue a single day further.
It didn’t say “FastEST 911”. TC

Nah I wanted the plate for myself. I'm leaning towards MEGOBYU now. I have been a proud owner of normally aspirated 912, 911, 928 and C4S and I like all Porsches. But fair enough he didn't take "FASTEST 911" If your panties are still twisted, someone rubbed their 288 GTO in my face last week or I could be banished to a Tesla forum.
Maybe he grew up on a moped, now he's fast...… I say give him/her their glory
