Hello as I continue my quest., yet more questions to you all. I have been looking at this particular 996 2000 C4 for over a week. Location: Scarsdale, AZ " It wouldn't let me post the link" sorry - but is on ebay under 2000 P-cars > 2000 PORSCHE CARRERA 4 AERO KIT COUPE WARRANTY AZ CAR - Arena Red, Gray Leather, Aero kit..... Contacting the Sales Rep at PHXCars, he states the local Porsche dealer will no longer do PPIs. I actually confirmed that with Scarsdale Porsche this morning; they no longer do them. I will google to locate some other shops in the area that might due these. Anyone know of a good place in Scarsdale AZ? Summary: It is priced at $34,900 with 59,000 miles. It looks to have been a leased car. Four owners. First owner only put 4900 miles on it in the first two years and was from New York City area. . It went to an Auto Auction. 2nd & 3rd owners from NV. 2nd owner put about 10,000 on it in the next year, and only owned it for that one year. 3rd owner only owned it for one year as well and put 5,000 miles on it. Again an Auto Auction. The 4th owner (AZ) from Jul 2004 to May of 2007, put 38,000 miles on it, 21,000 in the first year of ownership. From a dealers standpoint, I do not know much about PHXCars, but I will contact BBB, etc. My questions: 1) Should I worry that it was a lease car for at least three of the 4 owners, especially since perhaps a lease car would not have been taken care of to the same extent as a private owner. ?? ... or perhaps it is a good thing. ?? 2) The price; is that about right for the year and mileage? I am a Newbie for sure in this area. Could I realistically expect some reduction in price during negotiatoins? Any thoughts about an appropriate offer would be welcome. 3) Car looks great, but since the car has been out West most of its life, should I worry about the effects of the constant sun and heat related to the paint and some components. I would appreciate any of your thoughts. If you desire to email; please do. [email removed] = during the day. thanks once again for your time. Cheers - Scott

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Just my 2 cents, I bought my car a month ago, 2001 C4 with only 35K on her and I paid just a bit more than the asking price you have listed for the 2000 C4 you are looking at. Maybe cars are more in that market but I would think with that mileage you could beat them up a little more. Either way, good luck with your search!
Thanks TMAC, appreciate the comment. - S
Does the car have all the service records?? if not try to contact the dealer where the car was purchased originally and give then the VIN number..
