Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

OK, I've search this site along with "the others" and I can't find instructions on how to remove the stock motorized wing on my 1999 996 cab. I just got my fixed wing from Getty Design today and some insight on how to get the old one off would be great. Can anyone point me in the right direction. I suspect I'm search challanged. It's hard to believe it wouldn't be out there already but I can't find it. Thanks! J.D.

POST 2Original post

I found the TSB for installation of my Carrera wing but it did not have instructions for removal of the stock wing. So....I just started taking it a part and there are a lot of pieces! All I can say is that it is never going back on as long as I own the car.
