For those of you that don't troll the racing forum, he's a short version of one of the threads there. Once a year some of us are given a very unique opportunity: a chance to train with Patrick Long. For those that know, Pat is the Porsche factory driver in ALMS GT2 driving for the Flying Lizards. He has won the 24 Hours of LeMans twice, Petit LeMans 3 times, and just about every other major road race out there. He won the ALMS driver's championship twice, and is in the lead this year. This is a 2-day intensive DE - heavily focused on reaching the envelope for your platform more than just learning the line. You get more track time than you can handle and some of the best instruction on the planet. For example, over the last few years we've had this training - in addition to Pat Long -we've also had Seth Thomas [Grand Am racer], Cory Friedman [Gran Am racer], Dave Scott [ex-Grand Am racer and former motorcade evasive maneuver instructor] and Bryan Henderson [Chief National Steward for PCA]. We have also been fortunate enough to have Randy and Glen in the instructor squad the last few years. As for attendees, we always have a number of talented drivers from across the country including top echelon club racers, winning Ferrari Challenge drivers, and last year we even had a top racer from the Tour de France. Here are a few pics from this year. Enjoy! [Last one is for fun ]

Wow great show winning those races between the two of you. hehehe! If it was him taking out a vette in one of the races I'd like to thank him for not backing down letting the vette find out what happens expecting a porsche driver to back down.

I'm waiting for our current year to end. "We" may have another driver's championship. And, I'm going to work up a better version with graphics from some of the races. I'll ship it out to him after that. -td
