Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Can anyone help me determine if these seats are real or not. $1800 for unused seats is a pretty good deal if they are real. While there's an ouside chance that I'm considering purchaseing these...they're about as far away from me as it gets so this is also a notice for fellow Rennlisters of a great deal that's up for grabs if you're interested. The pictures show the Porsche Crest...but the lighting of the back of the seat isn't good enough to show if Recaro is present on the back or not. Also it states they come with the mounts but they are not pictured. http://sandiego.craigslist.org/pts/361987809.html

POST 2Original post

Ask him for a photo of the bottom. There should be a Porsche part number on a white sticker on the bottom.

POST 3Original post

Those look correct. As Yetis mantioned ask him if they are genuine.

POST 4Original post

The post has been deleted. Whatever the case, I have seen Taiwanese replica's with a Porsche crest in the headrest and Recaro script on the back. Original Porsche GT3 seats always come with brackets and sliders.

POST 5Original post

The factory sliders for the GT3 seats are also exactly the same and the regular reclining seat sliders.
