Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

From a letter in today's Wall Street Journal , written by Don Mauch of Norwell, Massachusetts: Excessive horsepower and a rear-mounted engine together with a lightweight front is a recipe for disaster...[.] What's he talking about? Lawn mowers . Last week, WSJ ($) carried an article about the popularity of zero turn-radius riding mowers . In today's paper, Mr. Mauch explains that he gave his up because it wrecked his lawn: "If your lawn is essentially flat, your grass a few inches high and absolutely dry most of the time, then go for it. Otherwise, stick with the tried and true [regular mower]." It's a comparison I never thought would occur, but there it is. Don't lift in a turn and your lawn will be fine.

POST 2Original post

roflmao...there was an episode of King Of the Hill where they had 2 goto a focus group where the lawnmower company was demoing their new Zero-Turning Radius mower. Hank Pwns them with his mighty redneck logic.

POST 3Original post

I thought this was going to be a thread about the 993 engine sound.

POST 4Original post

They just need a little more negative camber on the front and they can dial the understeer right out of those things!

POST 7Original post

I don't know, but you can bet it is the best oil ever produced. That we know for certain.

POST 8Original post

Please don't tell me that PCA or POC is going to have a lawnmower division now....

POST 9Original post

I can't BELIEVE that nobody has pointed out that lawn mowers are air cooled.

POST 12Original post

The zero turning lawn mowers are...water cooled!

POST 13Original post

Not my trusty John Deere. Garden tractor - air cooled. Garden tractor driver - beer cooled.
