Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Very nice pictures! Andreas
Lovely.
schweeeeet! looks like my garage right before the alarm clock goes off every night.
nice! Where did you get those from?
Old pictures right? All 996
Ahh, nice attention to detail!
Friend sent then to me from his trip.
Pretty cool! Stuttgart is on my list of places to visit and drive a Porsche.
To be entirely accurate, those are pictures taken in the Porsche Zentrum, the big dealership right across the street from the factory, and next door to the Werks 1 building. This dealership is worth a visit when you're in Stuttgart to see the factory (and you have to walk right by it when exiting the train station). It is there that I saw the series of 996 Turbos that had been sliced to show cross sections of the interior workings. Amazing and heartbreaking at the same time.
Stuttgart is an amazing city. Very pretty. We spent two nights there December 2001. We then went on to Innsbruck for some skiing, Munich for New Years party, Berlin and Amsterdam. Really all of those placed were fantastic. Stuttgart was really pretty and had a neat town square area where one could get Gluenwine which was some sort of wine that was heated. It took a few sips to "aquire" a taste for it, and a little bit would go a long way, but it would warm you up in a hurry. I am not sure if that was because it was heated, or because I was getting drunk. Either way I ended up liking it, and I was no longer cold.
Great pics. The factory.. a must see tour. The museum great if you can't get a tour. The dealership is a nice way to end a factory tour..really let's the mind work overtime. Thanks for the reminder.
I agree. Stuttgart is my clear favorite among the German cities to which I regularly traveled .... including Munich & Frankfurt. The entire month of December is devoted to Christmas festivals in most German cities. The one in Stuttgart is regarded by experts (that is, expert shopper flight attendants) as the best by far. Hundreds of small, decorated huts in the city streets and squares, selling everything from the tacky to terrific craftsmanship .... not to mention the great food and Gluevine you discovered. Christmas lights and groups of carolers complete a very nice atmosphere. At any time of the year, the wide main street, Koenigstrasse, restricted to pedestrian traffic, is lined with great restaurants, brew pubs, coffee shops, etc. Finally, from the centrally located train station, Zuffenhausen is just a couple of stops away .... the factory is just a hundred yards or so from the train stop. The factory tour requires reservations ((+49)[phone removed]), but on 2 occasions I have emailed one day ahead of time that I was unexpectedly going to be in Stuttgart, was an owner, and a PCA member. Both times, I was given an reservation for the next day. Can't say that will always happen, but they were very accomodating for me. The new museum, by the way, was not yet even well underway the last time I was there (a year ago). The old one is quite a disappointment, especially if you've seen the wonderful MB museum, also in Stuttgart. It consists of just one small room with a rotating display of historic cars, along with some cut away engines, souvenirs, etc. Still, if you love the cars, its worth the lengthy walk to around behind the factory.
That god for that one red Boxster, otherwise it would look like a 1984 Orwellian-Porsche lust fest.
Rob - boy, you aren't kidding! For a while there I thought the photos were Black & White snap shots! The cars are nice, but that showroom is very drab with all those gray and black cars. It reminds me of an average USA deapership!
