Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Everyone, Would like to put leather around the center console and lid, mine is (like most) scratched and showing wear. Any recommendations? Preference for a shop located in New England.... -matt

My guy is G&L Top & Trim in Eliot Maine. Has done great work on a Porsche, a BMW and a Land Rover for me.

POST 5Original post

They're a bit pricey, but the work is top-notch: http://www.classic9leathershop.com/p...6-boxster-996/ Another option is to repaint the center console. It will take a few hours of prep work, but you can nearly factory results if you take your time. I'm using this to revamp my Savanna interior and it's a perfect match. Amazon Amazon

Yes, I used them on my 996.2 seat leather and it was perfect. They also fixed a few other things in the general area for no additional charge. Got a full tour of their shop, absolutely first class in every respect!
