Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

i love my c4s but in about 1 yr i can lease another car and pass on the c4s to my wife (she can be barely wait!) will i be sacrificing any reliability if i get a 996 turbo instead of another c4s?

POST 2Original post

But from what I've been reading, I think the Turbo engines are better designed than our naturally aspirated ones (Full Dry Sump System; Also, don't know if the RMS failures are occurring on those, etc.) I know you had an engine problem with your c32 and that was one of your reasons to move to the c4s, but I've got to tell you I am starting to worry more about these RMS Engine issues on the normally aspirated 3.6l than I do on the possibility of rod damage on my c32 engine! A turbo targa in charcoal would suit my needs fine (except for paying the price of course ) Good Luck lap

POST 3Original post

No more or less reliable than any other 996. One upside is that the RMS issue does not affect the turbos. My 02 with 18k miles has had zero problems. Just think of it as a C4S with more power and a different spoiler.

Very reliable: http://www.911turbo.com/feature/2003-12/index.php Greetings, --Pierre
