Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have recently ordered an '04 C4S and have some second thoughts on a couple of options I chose. I searched the archieves but can't find any opinions for or against the Carbon Fiber Shifter or Lumbar Support. My specific questions are these: 1) Is the carbon fiber shifter comfortable / ergonomic in a daily driver? 2) Is the shifter too cold to the touch in the winter weather compared to the standard shifter? 3) Is the lumbar support reliable? 4) Does the lumbar support take away from the comfort of the standard seat? 5) Does the lumbar take away anything from the heated seats in terms of the intensity or distribution? It seems that the bladder must lay on top of the heating element - does this cause any problem? Thank you. My car is scheduled to be built in April - can't wait.

POST 2Original post

I've got carbon fiber everything, it feels great, no cold problems, cheers

POST 3Original post

I haven't got carbon but do have heated seats with lumbar support. The heating element is only in the bottom part of the seat. The lumbar support is only in the back part of the seat. So the lumbar does not effect the seat heating and vice versa. Saying that, this may have changed in later model cars.
