I'm curious what everyone thinks an early year '02 lightly optioned (MSRP'ed at ~74k) 996 C2 is worth right now. Say very good condition with average miles, about ~20k. From what I've seen in the market, its probably about 52k-54k private party. Thoughts? I don't think I will keep this car for more than another two years, just before its warranty expires. What do you think private party values for this car would be two years from now? I think '00s right now go for about 39-41k private party. Do you think the '02s will hold value better than the '99s and '00s and be worth more like 42k-44k in a couple years? Will the intro of the 997 (basically a tweaked 996) negate any resale advantage the '02+ have over the '99s and '00s. Just curious of your thoughts...

prices might actually hold up ok going forward. with USD dropping like a rock and PAG might raise prices in the future. 997 impact is hard to judge, but will see how much better it is. Also 02 and 03 sales for C2's are much lower then 99-01, so demand might hold prices up.. In general it's not an investment, but a pleasure thing
