Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Currently have a 2001 996 C4. I believe the stock offset in front is 8x18 52mm & rear is 10x18 65mm. They are the stock 18" Porsche rims. I'm looking at a set of Apex 19" but the offsets are 19x9 50mm & 19x10.5 44mm. Will the Apex wheel work without rubbing? They will stick out (rear) 21 mm & 2 mm in the front. The stock wheel needs a spacer (15mm+) to make it look correct I think, Am I looking at that correctly? The wheels are from a 2022 Boxster 718 GTS and before buying I need to make sure they fit. Any help would be appreciated.

The fronts will rub well before full lock. I believe 19 x9 are pretty aggressive for the 996 front well. If you space the fronts out enough for better clearance, there’ll be a lot of poke. I have a set of 19x8 et57 with a 15mm spacer that will rub at just full lock.

POST 4Original post

Front fits... you can even drive a spacer. Rear is about 6to10mm too far out. It will rub. This is 18x11 with a offset of 56mm. Yours is 6mm more out than mine. BTW... on Front its 18x9 Offset 49...so just like yours.

With the Apex wheels, you're looking at a slightly more aggressive stance, with the rear sticking out 21mm and the front tucked in by 2mm. It adds a nice touch to the style, but there might be some rubbing concerns to keep in mind. As for the 2022 Boxster 718 GTS wheels, they should technically fit. But, besides the offset, it's crucial to check if they clear the brake calipers and are overall compatible with your 996 C4.

The +44 rear isn't going to look great on a narrow-body car. This is 19x9 +48 / x11 +63. No rubbing, but you can imagine pushing the rear tires out by almost another inch is not going to look balanced with the front.
