Has anyone else noticed that it is difficult to select first gear unless the car has come to a full stop? I normally try and put my car into first when the speed drops below 15km/h.... but i noticed it's hard or there's something blocking the gate? I have given up that idea now... just keep it in 2nd until the car has stopped. Is it just me or is this a feature? I have a stock MY03 cab with PSE.... no B&M yet... Chucksta

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

It is a little more balky to get it into first gear at speed than any of the gears, but you should still be able to do it. I routinely do it at autocross. It's easier if you blip and rev match, but even if you don't, you should still be able to get it into first from second. If you are not careful, you can even over-rev and blow the engine.
