Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I insatlled a evoms cold air intake a couple of weeks ago (easy install) and have one issue that I'm hoping someone here can help with. The air inlet tube doesn't quite match up with the fresh air inlet on the deck lid. Does anyone else have this issue? Is this normal? I'm concerned that as it get's hotter and muggier that I"ll really notice the hot air from the engine compartment being sucked into the intake. Cheers, Stan

POST 2Original post

I have the same issue but hasn't been a problem...I actually had forgotten about it.

POST 3Original post

Is the housing assembly seated properly in the compartment? When I first put mine in, I had the right-angle bracket off by 180 deg so the assembly sat too high and the intake tube failed to line up with the opening. That was the only fitment issue I had with the intake.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Could you elaborate on the right angle bracket? The one I recall attaches from the back of the car to the front of the airbox (best way i can describe it). Which way should it be positioned, like an L or 7? Thanks, Stan

POST 5Original post

The bracket should be in the "7" configuration which sets the airbox about an inch lower.
