I know the baffles are common in these mufflers. See video of me knocking on the exhaust tip. Ive done a brief visual inspection lying under the car and cannot find any loose bolts, or areas that the heat shield is coming in contact with the exhaust. Both exhaust tips are also secure. does this sound like a loose baffle? The other muffler is OK. Spoiler You Tube

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

What do you hear when driving? When my baffles were loose it sounded ridiculous when I was driving slowly.
Exactly the same sound I have (had, as I replaced it). I'm pretty sure it's a broken pipe next to a weld inside the exhaust. Below pictures are from another thread on here, not mine

yep,,, just when I start off. Clears up after maybe 1200 rpm thanks! thanks team, looks like we have our culprit. Ill probably have the shop cut open the other side while theyre at it. And then probably gundo hack it because why not?
I just went through this last week. When letting out the clutch I'd get a little rattle. Then last week something must have completely knocked it loose because it was a loud rattle at all speeds. Had no idea what was going on and decided to strip off the bummer, heat shields, ect. Found a slight rattle coming from inside the muffler. But I also decided the remove the opposite side and that baffle was even worse. Sound like a huge rock rolling around in there. Not sure what the final decision will be for exhaust just yet but threw on deletes in the meantime while I figure out what I want.
Depending on your budget and condition of those cans, consider a full replacement to save weight and improve sound. Otherwise, go for the Gundo or Fister while youre at it!
