Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

You lost a half shaft? Shifter cables came undone? What do you think is wrong?
The shifter arms on the gearbox look bent? I'm not sure...
No pins on the shifter arms.

Bingo. And Ashai, yes slightly bent. Is the lever and selector a PITA to swap?
Good eyes.....I couldn't the see the forest thru the trees or something like that. Don't think you want to mess with the actual levers. Aren't the pins a press fit sort of thing? Bigger question is what is the project?
Nice call once again by Ahsai. Good try Pete.
Well.... Getting the nosecone off was easy enough. Lever/selector swap appears to be pretty straight forward. Hopefully reassembly goes smoothly- fortunately g-box is right down the road. Interestingly enough, auto Atlanta mentioned they had 4 different inquiries last week alone about replacement selectors. Ill take some photos for others reference in the future.

I would think so (replacement pins) but couldn't find any.
Make sure you get the correct arms. There are two types. One is a ball and socket type and one is a push pin type. See this link: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...hlight=shifter

Yep. I saw your thread whilst searching. Thanks for the info. I had it all buttoned up last night but wasn't getting much tactile feedback from the shifter lever... Should I? Ended up opening her back up and everything looked good, just didn't feel right. Can anyone describe the feel of the shift lever when engaged only at the trans (not through cable)?
That top, long gear looks pretty worn too.
