Bean, welcome to the board. My sugestion is to have both checked out at an independant shop familiar with Porsches or at a Porsche dealership (PPI). Go with the one that checks out the best and drives the best. Some cars do pull stronger than others. My opinion on color should not sway you either way so I won't give it. I would also make sure that you get the options that you want because it is a lot more expensive to add them later. One advantage from a dealer is you might be able to get a warranty. These prices are not bad but I think you could get somee off, at least from the $37K. Good luck and good choice in a 996.
I think 37K for an 01 with 50K miles is a really good price.
The prices sound good as long as a FULL PPI checks out. Welcome aboard! ......1st post describing a potential car and already a paying member.
Wow, both prices look really low ...
Both prices are very low IMO also. I would advise to get a very thorough PPI on either of them. The Black car in particulare seems very low. The car is actually optioned quite nicely. PSM is somewhat rare in 00-01 C2's. It really isn't missing any major option. The interior packages (aluminum look, carbon fiber, etc.) are easy to put in (see Eric at Bumper plugs for some great stuff), but the itmes like PSM, heated seats, and Litronics are either impossible or very expensive to add later. Make sure you get the color combo and more difficult options to add (i.e. PSM & heated seats) that you want now. Good luck and welcome.
Thanks for the quick responses. I would not purchase a 911 of any year without a Full PPI.
Bean - Welcome to the best P-car forum on the 'net! Good luck with your decision. Dell, glad to see you are "on duty!"
SIR..YES SIR!
Dell, 'Sir..Yes Sir!' Rings of a stint in OCS.
The prices are very low. In the 50 gray and black 01 coupes with 60k or less miles on autotrader, the aveage price is 45,254. There are plenty of cars so you have many options. Actually I think service history is almost as important as a thorough ppi. If you can wait, try purchasing in the winter for better prices. Good luck.

Thanks to everyone for your advise.
Definitely low prices.
