I have a Mille Miglia (Australian hand made exhaust) on my 996. It sounds very similar to a Fabspeed/PSE but is obviously on all the time. I want to go on a Gold Track Track day later this month but the circuit has a Noise limit of Static 97.5dB and 'Drive by' of 87.5dB measured at 8 metres. What are my chances of passing ? All help gratefully received..

I'm sure that it will pass the sound test. The real reason for the OE being quite was to pass Swiss sound limits. They did not want to make two exhaust for ROW and Swiss. Also 97.5 is pretty loud. When I raced jetski the sanction body limit us to 98db and our skis are way louder than most car except those stupid modified sport compacts.
Thanks for pointing me to the great sound clips. Will the PSE sound different on my wimpy 99' C4? The clip was from an 03'with the PSE. Just kidding about the wimpy part.
Graham, I know you posted this on the PCGB website as well, suggest that you ask the GT3 boys on there as they should be able to tell you, standard, PSE, and aftermarket stuff. Regards Paul
