Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

A friend of mine with an 01 986S has some serious engine damage. It happened on Track last weekend. He is throwing around the idea of getting a 3.4 to do the conversion. A few guys in the local Porsche club would be doing the work. If anyone knows of a good condition 3.4 shoot me a PM. Thanks, Judd

POST 2Original post

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

3.6 takes some more work to do the conversion I thought.

POST 5Original post

Meh...you have to pull the whole thing out anyway...UPGRADE!! C.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

A 3.4 is an upgrade. This is going in a BoxsterS the boost of ~50hp going to the 3.4 would be great.
