Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi everyone For anyone with a 996 turbo I’m just wondering what make of exhaust are you running? As the standard one is surprisingly quiet. I know the Kline one gets good feedback but not sure of the build quality on some of the others

POST 2Original post

I have the Cargraphic exhaust on mine.  It's a bit 2-toned - quieter when puttering about but once the revs get up has a nice throaty growl.  Was on the car when I bought it.  Once you get the exhaust done, make sure you get a tune to really reap the benefits.  There's a world of difference in engine performance with just exhaust & a tune.  Pulls so much harder and hits higher boost (1-bar easy instead of the 0.7bar stock readings).

POST 3Original post

+1   For those that have ventured, huge performance difference with a tune and even an off the shelf tune that gets to 1bar on the boost gauge.  Makes no sense to me having a stock 996 turbo. I have a kline with 100 cel hjs cats.  For me the cats are just as important as the rest of the exhaust. When I was looking, narrowed down to 3.  Eg lot of forum searching, youtube clips back in the day.    Europipe, kline
