Hi everyone Anyone know of a fix (preferably quick & cheap!) for the rear window seal starting to lift at the driver's side (RHD) bottom corner (as per photo)? It seems to be reasonably common on 996s and always seems to be that corner for some reason. Thanks.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Yes, it is common on the early 996s. Porsche issued a bulletin to cover it. Yours looks a bit more serious though. Maybe clean it out underneath, and stick it down.
It's not actually a seal but a trim piece and once it starts it'll keep getting worse due to age. You have to remove the entire rear glass window to fit a new one although you can get something generic that might squash in and stay in place.
