Hi all Am new to this forum and wanted to say hello and share a picture (pre-wash so very dirty) of my recently acquired 996 turbo which I have acquired from my dad. I previosuly had a Cayman S but this feels very different, especially when the turbo spools up ! It has had quite a lot of work in the past (coolant pipes pinned, refurbed turbos and remap to approx 450 HP: turbo goes up 1.1 bar so not sure what stage) Cosmetically needs a bit of work and a large crease on drivers door that I would like to straighten out, so far none of the dent masters say they can do, any advice for somwhere in the NW/Chester area that could do without going to a bodyshop or is too big/tricky ? Also the front bumper looks like a zera with all the stone chips so ideally would want to correct this. Have it booked in for an oil service next week at Cheshire Sport and Classic as it has not done many miles over the last few years, the oil pressure sensor seems to fail intermittently which sounds like a recognised sender issue which I think will need fixing but hopefully no major issues but does have 137,000 on the clock. Lots to learn and discover but thought I would as I am absolutely thrilled with it and suspect I will need to regularly look for some advice.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

They are fabulous cars…..but I am biased
Nice, is that basalt black....try eBay or breakers for a door if the pros can't fix it....
Do you mean Sport and Classic at Monks Heath? If so, there is nothing about these cars Mike doesn’t know! He sold me my 996 turbo and I went back from Scotland for a clutch and flywheel not so long ago as I trust him so much No matter where you are going, delighted for you! Love mine, even if it is an expensive beast to run at times - the engine feels so strong and special
Enjoy!!!
Lovely enjoy it Crease looks nasty, Might be easier to find a whole door ?
Welcome to 911uk and to the turbo club.

That’s the one, good reviews and I think he pinned the coolant pipes previously
Like Bert says you might find a door from a Boxster in Basalt
Yep just ring round the breakers, Douglas valley or 9 Apart are in the northwest and will most likely have a door in that colour , it'll be cheaper than a repair. And welcome enjoy.
Welcome! Great cars and surprisingly easy to work on.
