Is there anything that can be done to the side airbag covers in the front seats to fix the wear? Mine have become discolored due to the seat belt rubbing I would assume.

The original finish is paint - so.. it might wear off as quickly as the original, only the owner can say if that's satisfactory. I don't think you want to put anything on top of the covers since they are supposed to open and allow the airbag out if the airbag goes off. You don't want to restrict that capability.
