Hi all. I have a 911 / 997.1 . I drowned the rear body control module. (Clogged roof drains, very rainy day) subsequently fried other components. Car won't start, multiple messages on dash. Long story...even longer. I found a company out of Florida. Secialized ECU repair. After talking with them, they requested my cpu, immobilizer, ELV and key. Here's where I am stuck literally and figuratively (fat azz crammed upside down and backwards in a small car) I have the dash apart, the close bracket 15 mm bolt removed, the 10mm nut removed from the thin strut. the column drops a bit but is still held up by a brass colored bold with a top hat nut on it. I have removed the top hat nut but can't budge this bolt. How do I get this bolt out to drop the column enough to remove the ELV ?

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
