Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Here’s a rare behind the scenes look into the development process of the new APR Porsche 911 ( 992 ) Intake system for the 3.0T and 3.7T. During development the team fully instrumented the vehicle, including adding a ton of temperature and pressure sensors, external pitot tubes for measuring flow velocity, and more. After many hours of analyzing the stock car, there were three main problems: excessive depression in the turbo inlets, high compressor outlet temps, and future serviceability. Countless simulations and flow bench tests later, we were left with the design we sell today. A 45% increase in intake air flow, large decreases of depression, lower pre-intercooler charge temps of 5+°C, factory serviceability, significant horsepower gains and a myriad of other benefits!
