Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

New to Porsche. New to 911 ! I just bought a 2015 991.1, decent options (16k on top), but no Sport Chrono package which is the biggest issue I have with the car. I want to investigate if it is possible to retrofit. Money is no object but I don't want to give it to a dealer The fun part is tinkering with the car. I've searched and most threads say its not possible, but ... I checked that if I get PIWIS II clone from Aliexpress and get the activation code for Sport Chrono, it is possible to in theory code the option in. Has anyone done this? What are the options for hardware retrofit? I would need a Sport Plus button and perhaps a harness which seems like a royal pain in the ***. I am willing to invest time into this and if it at all it is successful, would be good to do a writeup for others.
