Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Hi everyone, I've had my 06 997.1 C4S (tiptronic) for just over a year now and already infected with the mod-ification bug as the 98% of all 997 owners on this planet. My car came without the sport mode and of course the chrono package. After reading almost every post related to adding the SM or to the activation via the VIN through the main dealer, I thought by sourcing the console buttons ( PASM ,PSM,SM and rear wing) would be as easy as to source the activation codes elsewhere than the dealer. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. it's been over 10 months now trying through the stealer ship to get my sport mode activated with no success. I have also seen on Suncost porsche webside the option of buying but then what? the dealer is clueless and it's been over 8-9 months that are trying to figure out if they can do it or not. So here are my questions : Can anyone share any info related as to how or where i can get my activation codes? Can it be done without the Piwis programer? Maybe with durametric? Are there any tuning (Remap) companies that could possibly activate whilst injecting some extra hp? I know this is an old and over discussed matter but any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

POST 2Original post

Is there another dealer you can go to? I had sport mode installed in my 07 Tip Boxster S this summer by my local Porsche dealership. Ordered the unit from Suncoast . It took about 3-4 weeks to receive. Dealership installed it in one day. This upgrade makes the car much more aggressive. Highly recommended. It also loosens up the PSM. I can actually side slip the car now on fast corners. Suddenly Tip cars and their discounted price vs non-tip cars are much more appealing given what sport mode does to the feel of the car.

POST 3Original post

Unfortunately not. There is only one dealer here in Cyprus but there are few other individuals that have the PIWIS (clones) basically I'm kinda stuck as far as the upgrade goes. Where are you located?

POST 5Original post

You can add Sportronic's reflash which will give you Sport Chrono for many of the functions but I don't think it adds the button controls. I would contact Scott to discuss. It is done via durametric which is included. It's been 12 years since I did my 06 CS so exact details not clear.

POST 6Original post

I will definitely contact him if that's the case but I'm quite sure that all remaps to not have any effect on the tiptronic gearbox whereas if it was a manual transmission and a C2s then just a remap would have done more than just the sport mode. Thank you anyhow...

POST 7Original post

Anyone known(other than going to the dealer) a way to get the activation code? I have the sport button installed in my 997.1 and I have a piwiis. I just need to know if someone can generate the code if I provide the VIN
