Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Posted it on PCA.org at 10:30 on a Friday, at 2 PM same day I got a call, 3 days later she bought the car. Put it on a transport to her yesterday...still have the Cayman S. Owned her for almost six years, other than AOS going out did nothing but routine maintenance. She'll take good care of her!

POST 2Original post

Sad, but life goes on. Have fun in the Cayman! Nice job on the quick sale. I saw a 912 today and I remember when these cars were cheap and I wanted. Its so great we get to drive a 911 for years at such a low price.

POST 3Original post

Congrats on the sale. Hope the new owner joins us on the 996 forum. Enjoy the Cayman, it's a great car.

POST 4Original post

Well, the Cayman is plenty quick to get your ya-ya’s out. Good health to you! Thanks for being such a solid contributor.

Thanks! I'll still be hanging out here, my Cayman has the same type of engine, and from what I've heard from PCA, over 75% of the parts in my Cayman are 996 part numbers!

Caymans are fun cars and drive like they're on rails, but there is something mystically dangerous and fun about the rear engined 911, like living life on the edge. We're not even talking baseball, hotdogs, apple pie and Chevrolet here folks.... With Porsche 911, it's more like rock climbing without bungees, tightroping with heels, rolling naked on hot coals, eating Taco Bell at midnight, or racing down pikes peak on roller skates with a 300 pound woman strapped on your back. You'll miss the 911.

That may be, but I have my eyes on my neighbors 2015 GTS, speed yellow. I found the car for him and the deal was when he's tired of it, he'd sell it to me! The previous owner called it "bumble bee".

POST 8Original post

That's a luxury car in relation to the Cayman and 996.

POST 9Original post

Sad but happy at the same time !! You have been a great stuart of the 996 and Ambassador. The Cayman has been my favorite Porsche model since it's release with only one critical exception, the cabin is just too small for me personally but I'm happy for anyone who can fit comphortably into it !!
