Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

I signed up to show my car at WERKS Monterey. Looking to find something to touch up the soft touch painted surfaces. Looking around I haven't found a specific product. What do the detail oriented folks use to touch it up. My car has a terracotta interior which makes it more challenging. Thanks

Hi Chuck, a member for 15 years - first post! People take a plastic color sample to somewhere like Home Depot that has a computer color match tool, and have a small can of semigloss latex mixed up.. and then very carefully touchup, or some people repaint the entire part. It can look quite good if done well.

Thanks for the idea. I tend to be a lurker and search for info.

POST 4Original post

Don’t have advice for the paint, but you don’t happen to be local to Monterey?

POST 5Original post

Not local, out in the San Joaquin Valley near Farmington. I'll be there Thursday to help with set up. My car is a driver not a Garage queen. I have a lot to do before next week. Interior touch up, exterior paint touch up, clay the car and some color correction and wax. The head light restoration. Just bought some Apex SM-10's 18x9 front, 18x10 rear they look awesome, but I have to clean and paint the lug nuts they are pretty ugly right now. The Croc always cleans up well.
