So it's a wet and cold concrete carpark, I put my 997.1C2 into reverse, turn the wheel, reverser, and I get a sound like the front wheels are scrubbing across the wet concrete. Hmmm, something wrong with wheel alignment? or normal for fat front tyres going in reverse?

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Okay, after some research http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=1331736 " Not entirely clear from your post, but what you could be talking about is the Ackerman effect due to Ackerman geometry on the front axle. "Ackerman is the term used to describe steering geometry that causes the inside front wheel to turn "tighter" than the outside front wheel." This can cause juddering and hopping and maybe scrubbing on full lock at low speed. Pretty much experienced with all 9x6/9x7 cars in certain conditions. Tends to be worse the lower the ambient temp. Nothing to be concerned about at all."
Orion, The 991 does this & my 997 did it as well. Usually when near full lock in reverse, feels like one of the inside front wheels is draging the tyre sideways.
Normal.
J-turn?
J-turn? no just reversing into the carpark at work, tends to be tight as I park in the corner of the carpark to get away from other cars
Ackerman. He's the original wheel carver from c3500BC wasn't he?
I get this on my R36 also, especially in the wet.
