For context, I'm 17 years old, and in my first year of university, and I drive this amazing 987 Boxster S in Speed Yellow! About six months ago I got annoyed that there wasn't a watch that matched my car. Not a "yellow watch" but one that actually reads as Speed Yellow. So I tried to make one. Turns out it's harder than it sounds. A sunburst dial shifts with the angle in a way flat paint doesn't, so a dial that looked perfect indoors came out looking like Fayence in daylight next to the car. Took a few goes to get one that held up. This is the first one off the bench (technically my sterile dorm workbench). The first one actually sold this week and it's on its way to a Speed Yellow owner in Victoria, Australia, which I genuinely did not see coming. Open to any feedback!!!

Folks - a very umm.. impressive thread. One thing - please read https://www.planet-9.com/threads/posting-photos-in-posts-to-planet-9.253974/ Every photo in this thread had umm.. issues, and my OCD can't take it, so I feel compelled to fix them. And I did, but I'd rather not be doing that (an upside to doing it is I can't bid on more watches while I'm editing photos.. but still..) PLEASE try to pre-edit the photos you post. Places like FB an X do it for you more or less. We aren't that advanced, when a 10mb 3600x3200 pixel photo comes along - anyone with 4G is cursing you.. Plus cropping - making the subject of the photo more prominent (removing unneeded "stuff" from the photo) makes it much more compelling to look at. BTW - ChatGPT is great for bringing out of focus photos into focus.. just be specific to tell it to ONLY sharpen a photo and make no other changes or enhancements. Carry on.. btw - we had a small subforum for watch discussions, never went anywhere so it's pretty much dropped off the radar here. If there is interest I can bring it back to the surface.. I seem to recall making it hidden and subscription only (meaning you had to ask me for the URL of it..)
