Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Hi all. My new to me 2011 just got dropped off. In transit the side mirror must have gotten bumped. It looks like it should fold back out, but this little red tab is stopping it. I can’t see how to get it back to the right spot without breaking it. Any tips?? Thanks in advance! James

No,you’re not, it’s a little unconventional but now you got it.

I’d avoid forcing it. That red tab is likely part of the mirror’s folding/locking mechanism. Gently fold the mirror inward first, then work it back into position while taking pressure off the tab. It should snap back into place without much force. If it won’t move easily, I’d stop before breaking the hinge or tab.
